Nuestro idioma, nuestra herencia: Español para hispanohablantes is a Spanish for Heritage Speakers textbook. It has been especially crafted for students in the United States who grew up speaking or hearing Spanish at home or in their community and who, for the most part, are proficient at understanding and speaking Spanish, but need to further develop their reading and writing skills. Through cultural readings and business-oriented readings related to the chapter theme, students will build upon their reading skills. In addition, students will sharpen their writing skills by practicing different writing techniques presented in each chapter. Moreover, a review of key grammatical structures and Spanish orthography provides focused opportunities to polish these essential aspects of the language. As students hone their Spanish language skills, they will also develop a deeper sense of pride in their linguistic and cultural heritage.
